Hair Career- Straight out of beauty school, Rudy went to work at Frank's Executive Suite. Frank Prine was exceptionally generous to Rudy, he gave him the foundation to go out into the beauty business and experience all that it had to offer. Rudy always remained grateful to FRANK PRINE for the gift he gave him.
Rudy became a stylist at the Enrico Caruso Salon, NY (56th & Park Ave). His first client was Janet Leigh who starred in hit movie, Psycho and it was thru Enrico Caruso Salon where he started doing hair for the Clairol Box Covers. Rudy went on to become a stylist for the home of the rich & famous at the Kenneth Salon, NYC. While at the Kenneth Salon, Rudy became Joan River’s private hairdresser. He was Sigourney Weaver's hairstylist and went on to cut her hair for the breakthrough movie Alien. He worked with Kathrine Hepburn and many more well known celebrities. Awards - Clio Award, Rudy was the first hairdresser to receive this prestigious award, given for creative excellence in advertising & design. Editorial – Rudy’s work has been featured on magazine covers and layouts including: Brides, Modern Brides, Seventeen, Glamour, Mademoiselle, Harper’s Bazaar, Ladies Home Journal, Ingenue, Woman's Day, Family Circle, Town & Country, and Clairol Box Covers. Top legendary photographers Rudy has worked with: Francesco Scavullo, Jimmy Moore, John Bechtold, Herb Pressman, Patrick Demarchelier and many more capturing the eyes of millions. In the New York Post, a full page was written on Rudy titled, "Traveling Hairdresser lives on the Cutting Edge." Radio/TV – Coordinator of hair styling for events such as the first four MTV Awards shows and some more recent, other well known events including: WABC talk radio, one hour spot; Johnny Carson (approximately 100 shows), The Ed Sullivan Show, The Coty Awards (Ali McGraw), The Tony Awards, VH1 Divas (Paula Abdul), Fashion Rocks, "On the Case" w/ Paula Zahn 2009, The Apprentice Finale (Donald Trump), NFL Kickoff, Glamour Woman of the Year, CNN Heroes, Last Comic Standing (last 3 seasons & 2010), Next Big Food Network Star, L’Oréal Cosmetic Promotions, Grand Ole Opry @ Carnegie Hall, Axe Hair Commercials, HBO Down & Dirty w/ Jim Norton, Nickelodeon w/ Jennifer Hudson 2011, the TV Land Awards 2011, Food Network Rachael Ray versus Guy Fieri Celebrity Cook off (aired 2012 season, January). Rudy also was the Hairstylist for The Approval Matrix on Bravo that premiered February 16, 2011. Rudy styled and worked with Sigourney Weaver in her breakthrough hit, Alien, Jacqueline Onassis, Katharine Hepburn, Diane Keaton, Cheryl Tiggs, John Kennedy Jr, Caroline Kennedy, Pam Dawber, Sting, Elton John, Cindi Lauper, Quincy Jones, Madonna, Sean Penn, Eddie Murphy, Vanna White, Brooke Shields, Catherine Zeta-Jones, (Haircutter for Jack Black, Elvis Costello, Frank Langella, Stan Getz, Hugh Hefner, Larry Storch and many more) ZZ Top, Diane Sawyer, Jessica Lange, Queen Noor of Jordan, Benazir Bhutto Prime Minister of Pakistan and many, many more.
